There’s a reason why private keys are dubbed “private”. What this means is that your private keys should be known only by you, and nobody else. This is the first litmus test for genuine airdrop programs. Any airdrop that requests for your private key is a scam, and there’s no arguing this fact.

Don’t Go Doing Too Much

Despite the fact that airdrops are literally free, does not mean that you should go climb a mountain just to earn a few tokens. If an airdrop requires you to do so much task for less or close to nothing, then it’s totally not worth your time.

Do not Spam

Most airdrops will require users to perform simple tasks such as joining their Telegram group, retweeting a post, filling a KYC form, or confirming their emails amongst others. Although, users are typically rewarded for referrals, any airdrop that sets a benchmark for the number of posts you need to make or referrals you need to bring in, is probably not worth your time. Install Only Trusted Apps

Nowadays, some promising airdrops may require participants to download and try out an app. Considering how easy it is for anyone to create a malicious app, and the fact that the apps on Google Play may not be reviewed, it is expedient to be sure of what you are installing. As a rule of thumb, if the offer looks too good to be true, then it is most likely a scam.
